A slightly belated Happy New Year to you all! We hope that you had a lovely festive season and are well this January. We enjoyed a busy year at Elm Tree in 2017 and had the pleasure of meeting guests from all over the world. We hosted family reunions, wedding parties, guests attending sporting events and couples and families coming to get to know the local area. We are already half way though January and lambing will be with us again before we know it. This year we will will be lambing around 220 ewes so expect up to 450 lambs. Did you know that a ewe is pregnant for 142 to 152 days, approximately five months so they will start delivering their lambs in the barns at Elm Tree at the end of February and the last ones will be born outside in the fields in April.
Our 2 bedroom cottages are quite booked up until the 9th April but we do have some space in Sunrise Cottage from mid March onwards, including over Easter Weekend. There will be lots of Easter activities in the area, to include:
Evenley Wood Gardens – 28th March – 6th April – Easter Eggstravaganza – Get eggcited about our egg hunt along with lots of other activities
Stowe National Trust – The annual Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt from Friday 30th March to Monday 2nd April
Blenheim Palace – The Pleasure Gardens will transform into an Easter wonderland with lots of interactive experiences, family-friendly activities and shows to enjoy. Enjoy a vintage fun fair, Punch & Judy shows, face painting, circus workshops and balloon modelling across the weekend, as well as walkabouts with the Easter Bunny and a host of other characters! As well as all of this families can enjoy the giant Marlborough Hedge Maze, Butterfly House and Adventure Playground.
Silverstone Circuit – British Racing and Sports Car Club. This two-day race meeting will be run by the BRSCC Midlands Centre on the Silverstone National Circuit
